·         Investigated x bad guide star alerts. 

·         Continued to develop software to update the keywords of the header files.

                                      DIGITIZED SKY SURVEY

Plate Scanning

·         Continued scanning the POSS-I O (blue) survey plates.

 
GAMMA Microdensitometer Systems

·         The A/D converter for GAMMA1 has failed and will require replacement. This is a custom board and will probably take several weeks to procure, build and test. Scanning will continue on GAMMA2.

 
Data Compression/CD Production

 

GSC-II

COMPASS Database

·         As of 31-Jan-2003 the COMPASS database contained 1,053,282,021 unique object index entries.  At this time 6034 GSC2 plates are loaded and 5684 GSC2 plates are matched.

 

Plate Processing

 

Calibrations

·         Received additional reduced GSPC2 CCD frames from OATo and loading to the image archive is progressing.

·         Corresponding DSS images are also being generated for intercomparisons.

·         Formatting error in latest GSPC2 under investigation

·         Matching software for loading SKYMAP completed
